We. Are. SO-NO!

The South Norwalk Elementary School community came together on Friday to let everyone in the neighborhood know who they are as they walked to their new home on Meadow Street Extension. Led by Principal Randall Austin and Assistant Principal Francheska Rodriguez, students and families walked from Roodner Court and their former building on Concord Street, meeting halfway to finish the walk together, learning safe routes to schools along the way.

When they arrived, families were warmly welcomed by teachers and staff into a state-of-the-art building filled with bright colors and natural light. They enjoyed a picnic, met their new teachers, and toured their new space.

Thank you to Safe Routes to School, the Norwalk Police Department, the Norwalk Bike/Walk Commission, and all of our community partners who helped make this event a success and shared valuable resources with families.
